Is Senic 2 still supported?
Quote from Deleted user on 10.05.2023, 12:42Hey there,
Just downloaded Scenic on the iPhone 6 to use as a navigation device on my motorcycle. But If I try to navigate to a point I get a "Meta File Issue" Error. No map is shown. Also when I try to download a map pack I get the error that "Information for available offline map packs could no be retrieved" "Could not connect to server".
I know it is an old phone on which the current Scenic App is not available. But is Scenic 2 still "online" and can be used?
Best Regards

This happened last year already, but they kept supporting the maps for a while to give clients a chance to migrate to another map provider, which I did with Scenic 3 released 2nd half of 2021.
They didn’t give me any notice about the map servers being shut down, but it seems they have recently done that. That is why you don’t see map details anymore and why you can’t download offline maps either. Sorry I don’t have any better news, but this is unfortunately out of my hands.
Scenic 3 runs on iOS15 and up. Here is a list of iOS devices and their maximum supported iOS version: https://iosref.com/ios

thank you for your fast reply. No worries. Just wanted a conformation. Maybe I have to use my daily driver phone then to access Scenic 3. Would have been very nice to give this old phone a new purpose. But your point is more than comprehensible.
