Is it possible to manually enter coordinates when 'offline' to set a location in Scenic?

Just wondered. When I'm online I can copy coordinates from Google Maps to the clipboard and then paste them into the Scenic location search field and it finds the location on the map (presumably with a Google search?) but when I go offline (yes, I have the offline map for the region), entering the coordinates does nothing so I'm guessing either Scenic does not directly relate these coordinates to a map location or perhaps Scenic expects a different format?

I am aware that I can use Google My Maps and the web interface to accomplish this but I was hoping that a quick copy/paste on the iPhone would work as well.

TIA

It should work. I just tried myself.

You can enter coordinates in the "where to" search bar. Scenic will recognize this, and will even try to find an address for them. This works online, but also offline if offline maps installed.

The supported coordinate formats are DEC and DMS.

Example DEC: 52.346163,4.868932

Example DMS: 52°20'46"N 4°52'8"E

(This is a location in Amsterdam, The Netherlands)

If you're enjoying Scenic and are happy with the support, please leave a nice rating in the App Store. It would mean a lot to me ❤️

Thanks Guido - I discovered the problem I was having. When you copy coordinates to the clipboard using Google Maps on an iPhone, it includes (...) brackets around the pair of values - e.g., (52.346163,4.868932) and Scenic does not recognize this. If I edit the pasted value to remove the rounded brackets, Scenic take the value and finds the location on my offline map.

So this solves the issue for me, but it would be useful if Scenic were to automatically disregard the brackets 🙂

Thanks again
