I read that integration of ferries in planning tracks is an issue.

Any news about that ?

No issues anymore. When you now plan a route that includes a ferry, Scenic will add two additional stops. One for where you enter the ferry, and one for where you exit the ferry. Let me know if you find any problems, though.

for calais - dover no problem.

however amsterdam - newcastle not possible !

Choose "Short" routing mode. If you choose "Fast" routing mode it will take the other ferry, as it's faster.
