Integrate filling stations into route planning
Quote from mfeske on 27.05.2025, 00:32... maybe it would be an idea to include gas station stops in the route planning. Personally, I don't need it with the range, my neighbor only gets 200 km with his MT10. So an option for planning a refueling stop every 190 km would be great!

Quote from Usul on 27.06.2025, 06:44I think along with gas stops, it would be ideal if one followed the method used in the InRoute app that allows us to search for not only gas stations but also other items every XXX miles, or every XXX hours like hotels, campsites, places to eat, etc. I love that feature in InRoute. I just don't love the app.
It also allows you to factor in how long you wish to remain at a stop (8 hours, overnight, etc), and then factors that into your trip duration and distance. Add in live traffic and we would be golden!
I'm looking forward to this possibility.

Gas stations on the route would be helpful.
Keep the great work!

Quote from Mex on 20.08.2025, 23:40Hi folks,
my workaround so far: I add a fuel stop every 200 km while planing my route.
Looking at the list tells you how far you need to go to the next stop. So you can calculate for e.g. 180 km for MT 10 and as plan B another station nearby in case the gas station is closed.

Quote from tcherpeti on 07.09.2025, 03:13Hi, petrol stations are now clearly visible on the route, which is really good.
Would it be possible to have a ‘kilometre marker’ along the route – when creating it – a kind of kilometre marker could be placed every 10 km, for example, to give an idea of where to refuel based on the motorcycle's range. ?
I have attached a small drawing based on our old kilometre markers to illustrate my point.
Here below an example who give an idea on the road done in this area .
Have a nice day

Quote from Guido on 07.09.2025, 06:43I understand. I have something in mind for this. It’s in the feature request list. Will take a while before I have time for that though.

Quote from mattsz on 07.09.2025, 08:49I like this idea of being able to add a marker, or a stop, at every user-chosen interval, for refueling. I need to be actively looking for fuel by 150 miles from a fill-up, it would be nice to be able to drop a stop by distance along the route...

Mex, how do you estimate that 200 km distance when planning? Stop placement by trial and error? The only distance indicator I see is the miles/km scale in the upper right corner of the map, not very useful for estimate distances on a curvaceous route...

- Hi Mattsz,
while you plan you set a stop for fuel station, like shown. Stops always show the distance to your startpoint. Vias dont.
When i see the stop is too close i select: undo and search for the next station. In areas i am not familiar with, i select bigger companies, they might be open 24/7.
In the attached picture „Tanke“ is german nicname for gasstation.
Ride safe, Mex

Quote from mattsz on 08.09.2025, 07:03Thanks Mex! That's basically how I do it now, what I call "trial and error." Drop a stop where I think it's close, and delete it and try again, or move it, when it inevitably lands in the wrong place! I was hoping you had found some trick for finding distances before placing a stop...

Something I just tried may be helpful for estimating distances on a route: open a route, and click the map to allow panning and zooming. Scroll down below the map and "turn on" the "show elevation" option (I guess you need internet access for this). Now you can touch the elevation graph along the bottom (or click your pointer if using your Mac) and drag along the graph, which will show distance from the route start... and also show a "crosshair" indicating the distance from start on the map's route. You can pan and zoom in on the map if needed to get a good look at roughly where on your route your chosen distance is - this can give a pretty good starting point for dropping fuel stops where you need them...
