Importing POI List fails
Quote from XYZZY on 24.01.2025, 14:57Guido, I hope I'm not started a parallel thread, but I'm tryin to import a list of about 500 locations, and I get errors on every try. I have tried GPX, GPI, KML. To be specific, in case you want to try it yourself, there is a riding challenge called RTE-X USA (https://www.rte-x-usa.com/). Each year he publishes a map of (mostly) restaurants that folks visit for a point or two. He publishes the map on Google Maps, and you can download the KML file. Other people have taken the original and converted it to GPX. Regardless of the file, I get an error "POI Data is not in the right format" while importing as a POI Group. I've successfully imported the POIs to my Garmin, so I don't think the list is corrupted. Oh... it did let me import as Locations... just not a POI group. Bug or User Error?

Quote from Guido on 25.01.2025, 00:05One of the place names has a pipe | character in it. Scenic uses this as a special character. I will fix this for the next update so that pipe characters won't cause any more problems. For now... here's the edited KML file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10bQ6VmTeOQLAGf9BZOuT10zk_FCEzOdt/view?usp=sharing
You can drag that into the Scenic webapp and it will work.
