Import Queue
Quote from Tangent on 12.10.2024, 15:19Trying to import a large GPX file and it used to work (4.0) but now on tapping the Import Queue menu it opens and then immediately closes.
i tried importing via the Webapp and still have the same issue.
Enter Link to .. also closes most of the time.
Couldn’t figure out how to reset the Import Queue. Tried reinstalling, same effect.
Love the new version, worked well for my long trip but now planning another.

I tried it and it seems to be working now. Perhaps a connectivity issue.
The GPX file I’m trying to import has 50+ tracks.
Can I ask for a bulk import feature? As is I have about a dozen clicks for each track.
Just tried to count clicks and it’s not working again. It said “Downloading” for a bit and then went back to the previous screen.
Wondering if it’s an unhandled exception that could use a message 🙂
The GPX file I’m using is from here:

Thanks,

I'll have a look, but can't make any promisses. This GPX file is 13,8 MB. This is HUGE for a GPX file. Scenic processes the whole file at once, so that can cause performance problems and other problems as you have noticed.
A few things you can try:
- Do you have a Mac with Apple Silicon processor? If so, run Scenic on there (you I find it in the Mac App Store, make sure to select to show iPad apps).
- Find a tool to split this file up into one file per track. Garmin Basecamp can do that, and there might be some web based solutions too
- Split up the GPX in a text editor. Tracks begin with <trk> and end with </trk>. Remove some of the tracks (including this beginning and ending tag), and save. Do the same a couple of time so that you have multiple smaller files.
