Import GPX as Ride

Hi,
is it possible to import a gpx as a ride and not as a route?

I've not been using Scenic all the time for tracking, and I think it can be useful to plan where I've been and look for new roads.

I’m afraid not. At the moment you can only import as routes. I’ll add it to the list to also import as ride (so you can migrate your ride history from before)

I've been using the Trails app to log the track of my rides and would be interested in using Scenic for this purpose. Unfortunately, when you export a ride from Trails as a GPX, you lose the metadata concerning when the ride happened, which bike it was on, etc. However, they let you publish rides on their trails.io site (for example, http://trails.io/s/zxogsy). From this page, I'd wager you could scrape the metadata to form a complete ride in Scenic without having to re-enter a bunch of data. I would have 178 ride tracks to transfer from Trails to Scenic.

there will be a feature in the future to import GPX files as rides. It won’t be specifically for trails and won’t support non-GPX data though.Don’t ask me when… not sure yet 🙂

+1 for this feature. I recorded some rides using a different app to see if I liked it, which I didn’t. Hoping to import those GPX files and add them to my ride stats

I would really like this feature w.r.t . Some ride logs that I accidentally did not save. Could get them as gpx from a fellow rider and would like to add them to my ride history.
