I just wanted to take a moment to congratulate you on the release of Scenic 4.18!
We often come here and discuss a topic not working or have an request for enhancement - but there is also a place for saying thank you and appreciating the passion you are putting behind scenic to help all of us to have more joy.
What you’ve accomplished over the past few months is truly impressive. Transitioning to an entirely new map foundation from HERE to OSM, equaling almost a total rewrite of the app, has been a massive undertaking – and you’ve pulled it off with incredible dedication and persistence!
You released finally a version that feels solid, polished, and incredibly well thought out. The new integrated power planner is brilliant - yes there is a learning curve due to the new way how scenic does things and how the maps and routing engine orchestrates things, but it’s obvious how much care and passion you’ve put into this.
After seven months of continuous improvements and fine-tuning, we now got to a level that’s rock solid and just in time for the (hopefully) sunny motorcycle season..
So thanks again for your hard work, your passion, and your commitment to making Scenic better with every update.
And beyond all that: I’m really excited to see where Scenic goes from here. If the last few months are any indication, there’s still a lot of great things to come – and I can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with next!
