How to use ‚roadblock‘
Quote from massi on 29.04.2022, 06:46Hi,
yesterday on a tour I came to a blocked road, so I choosed ‚roadblock‘(Strassensperre) from the menu and I was asked to give a distance, I choosed 500m, because it was only a short block. But scenic told me to ride in the same direction where the road was blocked.
So my question, how do I use this function, which distance have I to use, to be taken around the roadblock?
Thanks in advance

Quote from Guido on 29.04.2022, 07:29When you choose a distance it will assume that the route as calculated can not be followed for the next x distance.
So seems something was not right. Scenic should have taken you around the blocked road. I’ll look into it.

Quote from theigi on 29.04.2022, 16:58I had a similar case once, there was no alternative way for 500m.
It was my mistake, because I should have looked at the surroundings, because there was only a possibility of bypassing it at more than 1000mmaybe that's the mistake
but hasn't had it a second time so far to have a comparison as to whether it was really the cause.

Quote from sdk on 09.07.2022, 04:27I have a suggestion. Most of the road blocks I encounter are turns that are blocked, so I have to go in another direction. It would be great if the app would recognize that and maybe show the option "last missed turn is blocked" in the list of road blocks.
Or even show a popup for a few seconds: you missed the last turn, was it blocked?
My trouble is mostly, that I often canˋt stop "before" the blocked road to tell the app about it. So right now, i stop afterwards and then select a block distance that's long enough for the new route to reach the blocked point again. Or I have to drive close to the block again and then tell the app about it.
It's not a big deal, but it could be made more comfortable.

Quote from Guido on 09.07.2022, 07:34Ok. I understand what you mean. I’ll add it to the list. This is a difficult one though.
You would get this pop-up every time a detour from the route is detected. Even if, for example, you deviate a little bit to go to a gas station. So there should be a non-intrusive way to handle this.

You can set it as an option, like speed warnings.
Every user may decide to use this pop-up, or not.
