How to stop navigation and pick up the route afterwards?

On a long trip on the weekend we had to stop along the way. Phone was disconnected from the car and its carplay unit briefly, but Scenic was still running in the background on the iPhone.
When I hooked it up and got CarPlay going again, the Scenic app opened automatically and was ready to resume navigation. But this was just one instance.
I have the app set up as per its default settings.

When on CarPlay... I'd recommend what you did the first time. Simply don't do anything. Disconnect from CarPlay if you want. Normally, it shouldn't crash, and then you simply plug carplay back in once you're ready to go again. I'll look into the crash reports to see why this happened.
