How to have the direction of travel always going up?

Seems like when using the app and traveling somewhere the direction will be going to the right or left, up or down sometimes. How do you make the direction of travel always heading up on the phone. Basically so the map rotates around. I tried to lock and unlock the orientation but it seems to have not effect.

I just downloaded the app a day ago. My settings don't seem to have the above options from your screen shot...Am I missing something?

The menu from the screenshot is accessible while you are navigating. So, after you tapped the 'Register Ride' / 'Start Navigation' button. Then you'll go to 'navigation mode'. Only in 'navigation mode' will the map be able to go heading up. So, you should always use this button if you start to ride really. Even if no need for navigation.

Once in navigation mode you can access this menu by tapping the button bottom right of the screen.
