How to completely delete the blue line on the track imported from Google Maps?

When I import a route from Google Maps, a continuous blue line appears on the track in addition to the magenta line created by Scenic.
At this point I just want to completely delete the blue line on the track imported from Google Maps and keep only the one generated by Scenic, but I don't understand how to do it.
Can someone please help me?

Quote from Guido on 17.08.2023, 07:39You can not delete the blue line. It’s there to show you how google calculated the route. However, you only see it during the import process. Once you save the route, the blue line won’t come back anymore.

Quote from Skdibi on 17.08.2023, 07:57I figured that was the solution, but maybe there is something wrong because in the edit function the blue line does not disappear after saving the file. Is there anything I can do? It may be helpful to start the import process from Google Maps?

Quote from Skdibi on 17.08.2023, 08:15I found a momentary solution, which, however, does not seem very rational in both the process and the end result:
1) I exported the GPX file
2) I renamed the exported file and imported it again and the blue line problem disappeared.
3) However, the all the via points had been converted to stop points, so I converted them all to via points. However, it would have been a problem if I had both via points and stop points in the original file.

Quote from Guido on 17.08.2023, 08:23Sorry. My mistake. You are right. The blue line is saved, and it will show when you edit the route. It won't show during navigation thought.
The blue line showing is actually not a bug, but a feature. In the past, I did not show the blue line after import (hence my misunderstanding). I however got quite some comments about that. People want to see the original route as it was designed on Google Maps. So... dilemma 🙂. Is it a really big issue for you? The blue line doesn't do anything. It just shows you the original route. I'm asking because I need to make a decision. Add a 'switch' to hide the blue line (adds yet another element to the screen), or just leave it as is. So far, you are the only one that mentioned this to me. While before I had a lot more people mentioning the missing blue line.

Quote from Skdibi on 17.08.2023, 08:37Probably most people manifest a desire to keep even the blue line because they import the complete file as they have plotted it from Google Maps and just use it in this basically rather limited way compared to the potential of Scenic.
However, using your excellent app, I have verified that if enough work is done on the route by heavily modifying e.g. arrival point, departure point, or adding detours on the route, the end result is - at least for me - rather ugly to see even if it only appears in the editing screen.
I often come across the gpx files of a route on the net that nevertheless has completely different starting and ending points from mine. When I add of consequence of two sections of road I do so not relying only on the automatic function, but I choose the series of via points so that I travel a route that allows me to visit very beautiful places that the automatic track would not include. Same if during a route I want to go one or more side valleys than the main one.
If it were possible to add a "switch" to hide the blue line that would be a big plus and I would be grateful. That is, of course, if it doesn't involve a lot of work for you.
Otherwise, patience, I understand and respect your need to optimize your work.

Quote from Guido on 17.08.2023, 09:01I understand. The work is not much. But I don't want to clutter the screen with an element that is not used by many. I'm working on a big update at the moment. Will see if/where I can add such a switch where it's not cluttering the screen. Perhaps under the 'more' button.

Great Guido, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you again for the great care you show for your clients.
