Handlebar only working in Routing mode?

I have added the MotiveMonkey Handlebar. It works, but only in Navigation Mode.

If i press s button in Recording Mode it shows Message "zoom active".

does that means it is only working in Navi Mode?

I want to use it for zoom in snd out without routing, because i often drive without a specified route.

thank you

It should work the same... regardless if you are following a route. Just to be sure... are you in tracking mode? (did you tap the "ride" button in the main screen)?

If you're enjoying Scenic and are happy with the support, please leave a nice rating in the App Store. It would mean a lot to me ❤️

yes - it is shown as "Fahren" in German menu.

The MotiveMonkey zoom buttons work both when using Scenic as map only, when recoding a ride (after pressing Ride) and when navigating a route having chosen manual zoom mode. When “Speed based zoom” or “Turn based zoom” is chosen, you get the message “Requires manual zoom” when pressing the zoom buttons.

Do you use your iPhone as navigator, or anything else?

yes exactly, i use speed based zoom. and i use iphone 16.

so i have to deactivate speedbased zoom? but i find it is a good thing. i know another navi app witch use seedbased zoom. they also have + and - function within speedbased zoom.

maybe that would be a useful feature for scenic too ..

Yes. Had more request for that. It’s on the list.

For now, you need to use manual zoom with the controller.

perfect, thanc you

i will do this and would be happy if it comes soon 😀

great app 👍

There is a "work-around" for manual zoom when using Speed-based or Turn-based zoom when navigating.

I have the Overview buttons function activated on a short press on right button. When in Overview mode, whichever one of the 3 choises you have activated as start view, manual zoom is now active.

I have chosen the view to the right, the "Around current location", as from there it is most convinient to zoom up or down, whichever one you need 🙂
