GPX Export - Names of Stops
Quote from TigerOnTour on 08.10.2023, 08:05When exporting a Route to GPX, the names of Stops defined during Planning are not written to the GPX. Instead all Stops in the exported GPX are named "Stop 1", "Stop 2" and so on. It would be nicer to have the Names there too in addition to the Labels.

Quote from TigerOnTour on 08.10.2023, 23:44Hi Guido, thanks for the quick response. I think I found the issue. When I created the route, I used named locations from an imported list and added them as "waypoints" first - later I changed them to "stops" - not realizing that the name was not carried over. Using a location to create a stop directly preserves the name and also exports it to the GPX file. It's been a (beginners) user issue. Thanks, Thomas

Quote from RickV on 10.10.2023, 11:28A few of us are using Scenic in our large Miata club but many still use Garmins. When I export my GPX file to BaseCamp, it will not load unless I convert all Stopping points to way points. Is there some way to ensure the Stopping Points details end up on the Garmin GPX.
BTW, those of us in the club who use Scenic, love it. When the Android version is available, we will encourage our 175+ members to use Scenic.

Quote from Guido on 10.10.2023, 11:39Hi Rick,
the exported GPX from Scenic contains 2 routes. One of them should work with Basecamp.
I am planning to improve the compatibility more with Garmin devices. Unfortunately Garmin uses several of their own GPX extension and doesn’t always play nice with the basic GPX elements.
Have a look here for more details if you’re interested: https://scenic.app/forum/topic/route-export-to-garmin-zumo-xt/
