I have the premium license. With this is it still possible to use the follow the line navigation. Switching off the recalculation is enough for this?

Switching off the recalculation will indeed stop the route from recalculating if you deviate from it. However you will still get turn instructions on the screen and also audible instructions. You can turn off the audible instructions through tapping the speaker button in the navigation menu (big button menu).
