ERROR3: No ride with this ID.

Hi,

I've been using the new version of Scenic for a couple weeks now, and am very impressed with it!

I just completed, and saved a ride, but when I then try to "Share" it to my computer via "AirDrop" (from my iPhone running Scenic to my MacBook), it opens a web page on the MacBook, but I the ride/map doesn't display, and instead I simply see this error:

 

ERROR3: No ride with this ID.

 

I may have accidentally tapped something on the screen as the ride was being saved, because I thought I saw something on the screen about "Custom Sync" or something, maybe, but could be wrong.

 

The URL that is being sent to my MacBook is:

it’s possible the ride did not make it to the server. I’ll check it out tomorrow and let you know. Meanwhile could you try creating a GPX from it and email that to me? (Use the email me button on the help page)

I checked the database and indeed the ride didn't make it to the server. Probably the connection was interrupted. Could have something to do with the message you saw, although the 'Custom Sync' messages doesn't sound familiar.

What you could try is to change the description or title of the ride. Save it and do a 'pull-to-refresh' after that. That will sync the ride again with the server. Not 100% this will work though, as some of the ride data will only sync the first time, but worth a shot. If that doesn't help, I would need the GPX file like explained in previous message.

I added a description to the ride (on my phone), then saved it, then did a "pull to refresh," and now the link is working!
