Earning Points…?

Thank you, I love the app!

It seems that for some reason I’m not able to earn points anymore. I noticed this after I accidentally deleted one of my route folders… (not a biggie, all my important routes are on the public folder anyway). I would enjoy earning points again…. I added a GREAT new route on Wednesday… but was not awarded with any points it seems.

Thanks for letting me know. I am aware of this and looking into it. Will be solved for all this affected soon. If you like I can fix it manually for you now. I just would need your Scenic nickname.

I see that pictures taken along routes are not saved on the routes layout/data anymore… is that a change in the app or is that related to the same problem perhaps?

Could be general syncing problem with your account. Could also be version related though. What version of Scenic are you running? This was added (back) in the latest version v3.05. You can see version number at bottom of Settings. If not running latest version you can go to App Store to manually update: https://apps.apple.com/app/id1089668246

I’m on the latest version “Scenic version 3.05”… Pics not adding to route…

I also made some routes I have ridden public today… also reviewed them …. did not award me any points…

Pics not adding to route…

Quick follow up question... how are you adding pictures to the route?

The pictures you add during a ride are added to the recorded ride, not to the route.

Hi there… until 20 th of December 2021 mine used to also add them to the route I was traveling / navigating on. The route I traveled last when it was still doing it is called “Paternoster Citrusdal Ceres Hermanus” (20 Dec 2021). Until that date for as long as I used Scenic it added my pictures to the route I was navigating… This is a great feature because you can see how the route typically look like in future when navigating on it… I can send screenshots to an email address if you prefer…

I found a bug in Scenic 3 that prevents the pictures from saving with the route. This bug has been in Scenic 3 from the start though. Is it possible you upgraded to Scenic 3 after December 20?
