Don’t include waypoints in voice guide
Quote from Nezrahm on 22.07.2024, 10:35Maybe there is some setting I have missed but I find the current behavior very annoying. I’m not interested in all random waypoints that’s generated for navigating (round trips etc).
I want to hear and see information about stops and turns/intersections but not about the waypoints. Especially not when they are on the current road and I’m supposed to continue forward for 10+ km.
One suggestion is maybe to differentiate between stops and navigational waypoints.
Very nice app otherwise 🙂

Quote from Guido on 22.07.2024, 11:25I'm not sure I understand. Scenic should not give you voice instructions for via points (what you call navigational waypoints). It will give you instructions for stops. Here is a help article: https://scenic.app/help/stops-vs-via-points-whats-the-difference/
Let me know if I misunderstood or if you think there might be a bug.
Best regards,
Guido

Quote from Nezrahm on 22.07.2024, 11:45Oh, so the distinction I want already exists great 🙂 Just not clearly enough for me to find it. I don’t know if this is new behavior but I feel like Scenic has been more (annoyingly so) chatty this season.
But what caused this post is that I just did a long trip from an imported GPX and it must have imported all waypoints as stops then? Is that the default in import? The file came from kurviger if that makes any difference.

Quote from Guido on 22.07.2024, 11:47Indeed it depends on how the imported GPX is structured. Improvement is coming for importing Kurviger GPX files.
Meanwhile, there is a function under the "more" button (bottom left) to batch convert all stops to vias. Or, alternatively, export/import the Track from Kurviger (you will use your stop information from Kurviger that way).

Quote from Nezrahm on 23.07.2024, 04:22It’s better today, the via points are not included in the written instructions, however the voice still goes on about the via points. Please look into this.
