Divide the route into fast and curvy

Hello everyone,

i would like to create a route that should initially at the beginning highway (fast) and then, from a certain point, should lead over land (curvy or similar) to the specified destination.

Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to set this up.

I can add "via" or "stops", but the route setting only applies to the entire route and not to a selected section.

Or does this not work with this app?
I've only recently become a premium user.

Best wishes
Benny

It’s unfortunately not an option as you have noticed.

Yes…sad but true 😕

Nice profile pic btw, is that your bike?! Wow

The easiest way to achieve your route is to 1st set it to curvy, and then, for the other part, take the highway using the viapoints.

Yes, but that's what I try all the time.
How do I assign a different route option to the second section of the route?

Hi guys, I'll quickly jump in... there are several other topics on this. Here's one: https://scenic.app/forum/topic/different-routing-profiles/#postid-145

In short... at the moment, Scenic's routing algorithm does not allow multiple routing modes per route.
I recommend the same as what Johan already suggested more or less:

First: Set start and end for the curvy section, and generate curvy route
Second: Now add start where you actually want to start.

I know it's not the answer you were hoping for, but, until multiple routing modes are supported, this is the best recommendation I can give. Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Guido

If you're enjoying Scenic and are happy with the support, please leave a nice rating in the App Store. It would mean a lot to me ❤️

Hi Guido,

Thank you, I will use this method if nothing else works.

That would be a good suggestion for improvement for the development department 🙂

I've found that I need more control over the routing, so I use something like footpathapp.com, which has a great web planner, and then import that into Scenic for final edits & onbike routing.

Hi Guido
I know Kurviger offers the mixed curvature option - I guess they keep this to themselves and don't offer it to you via an API?

correct
