Distance to next Via instead of next turn/navigation?

Hi all, wondering if anyone can help me here. I’ve just started my first big trip of the year using Scenic (as I always do on my big trips).

Something that I think must have changed since I last used scenic (last year), is all of my navigation instructions (the ones displayed on the screen with the arrow/turn indicator, NOT the audio instructions [which are still working properly]) show the distance to the next VIA/marker on my trip. My goal is to have this show the correct distance to the next applicable turn/navigation on the road I am on.

I planned my routes with Furkot and imported into scenic, which ends up generating hundreds of via markers to keep me on the exact route I planned in Furkot. Unfortunately, this means I am constantly getting navigation signs on the screen showing me a short distance to the next VIA/marker, and I don’t know how long I am going to be on the current road for. For example, it will show “2km” and an image of a VIA/marker pin, which will then be replaced by a similar distance for the next VIA point. I’d rather see “15km” to my next turn.

I’ve looked everywhere in settings and I can’t see anything that should allow me to change this.

I also know there is a “Delete all Vias” option in the route editor, but this then causes the route to be recalculated and differ from what I had planned.

Hoping there is an easy fix someone could help me with, especially as I don’t seem to remember Scenic ever showing me the distance to the next VIA like this in the past?

Thanks!

Have a look at this post. It explains why it’s happening:

Im working on a big update, on which this behaviour will be resolved all together no matter how much via points you have.

If you're enjoying Scenic and are happy with the support, please leave a nice rating in the App Store. It would mean a lot to me ❤️

Thanks Guido!

If this will be resolved in the next big update that would be fantastic.

My route definitely had multiple via points on the same road, so that would be why it was doing that then, yes (picture attached of an example from my route). This is something that just seems to automatically happen when exporting routes from Furkot to Scenic.

I’d just like to take a moment to say thanks for how responsive you are to peoples suggestions and questions on here.

Looking forward to the update, all the best,

N-5Gunner
