Distance to Next and Previous Stop
Quote from Old Man Emu on 10.09.2025, 21:25I would find it really useful if Scenic showed for a selected Stop the distance to the next and the previous Stops.
Here when I tap 16 it displays an action box, see the 2nd screen shot …
In addition to Move, Edit Name etc it would be useful to show distance to next and previous.
Kurviger does is like this;
TIA

Quote from Rods on 11.09.2025, 09:05Would there be any possibility of adding via points to the list when tapping this box, please, rather than it just including stops? I seem to remember that this used to be the case in previous versions.
I tend to work with via points and it would be helpful in trying to decide where to plan possible stops.
Thank you.

Quote from Guido on 11.09.2025, 09:25You can show the vias in the list (there is a “show vias” switch, but it won’t show you the distance between via points. That information is not provided by the routing engine.

Thanks Guido, I know about the expand list you refer to. My case is more that I would find it much simpler to tap on a Stop marker and see the distances rather than scroll a potentially long list and also like Kurviger allows, jump to the next or previous marker.
Only a small thing but they all add value.
one other thing I’ve noticed (finicky, I know) is that when I start a new line in this forum message it does not capitalize the first letter!
see it’s lower case! This also happens when editing the name of a waypoint Stop.
it reverts to lower case.
im keeping you busy!
have a great day.

While you plan a route just use stops instead of vias. On the list you see all distances between the stops.
When your done change all stops to vias. Lower left 3 dots button. In case you want 2 or 3 stops just change theese back to stops.
Obviously in German but position should be the same in English 😎.
My workaround so far.

Will look like this:
And quite easy: select „undo“ afterwards and your back to what you planned. No need to convert back to via-points.

Quote from Rods on 12.09.2025, 02:56My reason for navigating with via points rather than stops is the regular detours we have to make due to road closures and the ability to skip via points. I’d never get anywhere if I had stops on closed roads.
I have planned cafe stops or meet up points as stops to make sure I get there.
Best wishes

Quote from Mex on 12.09.2025, 04:35Hi Rods,
i converted to stops just to see the distances.
Afterwards i change back to vias, set 2 stops for gas station or coffee break and save the route.
Its just for planing not for riding.
