Display Mode on Starting a Recorded Ride
Quote from Paul_Guertin on 08.07.2022, 20:10When I start recording a ride without any navigation, I’ve noted that, even though I have my display options set to ‘Heading Up’ and ‘3D’ (as evidenced by the available options of ‘North Up’ and ‘Switch to 2D’ as seen in the attached pic), the map remains stationary and my location icon leaves the screen as I ride.
Is there a way to start a recorded ride without navigation and have the display default to the 3D view so that I can see what is coming ahead?

The only way I’ve discovered to force it into 3D mode is to open the options screen, select Overview and then select the down arrow in the bottom right corner. Taking these steps forces the view to go to 3D. I can’t find any other way to get to 3D mode. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling Scenic on my iPhone without any luck.
I’m fairly confident that Scenic used to default to 3D for me all the time.
