No bactracking u turns etc ? Thanks

Quote from johansw on 25.08.2025, 03:44I have both the "Don´t recalculate" and the "Guide me back button on map" buttons activated, and only those. This option gives me total control on when and how reclcultions are made. Sometimes I just don´t press this button as I make a deliberate detour. When finsihed doing that, using the map as map only, I press the button 🙂
But then I have (and I am involved with) the MotiveMonkey remote controller, making sutch actions (and many more) easy as I don´t need to touch the screen 🙂

Quote from Guido on 25.08.2025, 08:30The setting that Johan uses are very good for this indeed.
If you have quite some waypoints in the route, the default settings might also be good for this. With default settings (use the reset button top right of the 'detour behaviour' settings screen):
- If you deviate, Scenic will recalculate the route to guide you back to first unreached via point.
- If you notice the recalculated route contains backtracking / u-turns / etc. manually skip the next waypoint using the 'skip waypoint' button.
