Desktop app - making routes & unpaved roads

Could you send me a screenshot and the name of the road where the excessive via points were necessary? Not sure about cause. What was your routing mode when this happened?

More important to me of the two issues noted are the lack of color distinction in unpaved roads and no alert/warning when I have routed onto an unpaved road, in spite of having "avoid unpaved roads" enabled.

Agree. This is a very important feature. I led a ride through West Virginia today. Not realizing that the feature was removed resulted in travel down a rough unpaved road. The ride then needed to backtrack. Very unfortunate.
Also, greg2112 refers to enabling "avoid unpaved roads." Is there a way to do this in Version 4?
I don't see anything in the scenic-4-faqs related to unpaved roads.
