Deleting maps
Quote from jknight611 on 15.03.2024, 18:23Hi, I got too “enthusiastic “ initially on downloading maps. On my crummy Wi-Fi updates take entirely too long, which is no fault on Scenic part. I tried to pare down my maps to just what I would use on my normal long distance trips. When I deleted some of the interesting but not needed often (or never) it took about 20 minutes to delete some maps that I had downloaded. If they are downloaded for offline use why does it take so incredibly long to delete downloaded maps.
Enjoying the app, I continue to find roads near my home that I had no idea existed. Recommended the app whenever I get the opportunity.

Quote from Guido on 15.03.2024, 18:27To be honest, I don’t know. Deleting maps is performed by the HERE map framework. If I were to take a guess, it’s because they need to make sure it’s de-integrated from all the remaining offline maps. In any case, this is out of my control.

Quote from Mark on 18.03.2024, 05:25I’ve noticed the same thing. I’ve found that it’s much quicker to choose the “Delete all offline maps” and re-download the 2 or 3 I may need. I’ve done this several times during v3.4 and it works well compared to waiting ~20 mins on public wifi to delete 1 map.
