Change Stops/Vias in Route Timeline during Navigation
Quote from David_G on 09.12.2021, 08:15Hi Guido,
The Title says it already. In Scenic 2, it was possible to delete Stops during an ongoing Navigation through the Timeline. In Scenic 3, this feature has been omitted, it seems? So in Scenic 3, one can only delete Stops/Vias on the current route, by going into Edit Mode and then tap on the stops directly on the map and then delete them one by one, correct?
Since we already have the Timeline in Edit Mode, could you again include the possibility to delete and also reorder the stops just like we can in the Power Planner? That would greatly help functionality and also be a more consistent user experience since it would be the same as in planning mode then.
Apart from that I really love Scenic 3 so far! Has been a huge improvement in almost every case compared to Scenic2 for me, its awesome! I especially love the much better voice commands and navigation arrows directly on the map.
Thanks and kind regards,
David

Correct... I did not add this to Scenic 3 yet, but it's on the list to add it back. Honestly I didn't think it was such a big problem since it's still possible to remove by tapping markers. Changing order is more time consuming now, but how often do you want/need to do that really?
Cheers,
Guido

Changing the route during an ongoing navigation is one of the keypoints for me, as plans often change during a day. When adding a Stop and it's not that obvious on which position its the fastest to include that stop, it would be great if one could just switch positions to see. Deleting the new point, search for it again and adding it on a different position is quite annoying.
Even more since the Timeline is there already and is perfectly suited to do that. And since one is used to it from the power planner anyways, it seems quite strange not to be able to change the timeline in routing mode. And even more since you are in editing mode anyways!I guess it generally just depends on how you use the app.
Do you (have to) do all of your planning in the power planner and then use that route without any further changes for navigation or do you start off with a route (new or existing) and then change things as you need them on the go.
I often found myself adding, deleting Waypoints, switching them around to see whats the better route and also changing navigation modes during the ride in case my mood has changed. That was with my beloved Navigon App which could do a lot of things really good, but also some things really bad when comparing to Scenic.
