CarPlay search keyboard

i am a new user, so hope this isn’t an operator error issue.

when connected to CarPlay ( via cable). I am unable to search. I get a pop up on car screen saying keyboard unavailable. If I open my my phone all I get is scenic is connected to CarPlay.

i can’t find a setting to enable keyboard.

can anyone please advise

I don’t believe this is a Scenic issue. Rather a CarPlay issue (or feature).

Some CarPlay systems block keyboard entry while movement is detected (for safety reasons).

I would try googling this problem, mentioning the manufacturer of your CarPlay system (or the vehicle it’s in)
