I have been using Scenic for 5000 km in Britain & Korsika  on the IPhone (Version 3.5) and switched to CarPlay just during the change to 4.0. I find the size of the different information bits top.

The latest version of CarPlay 4.05 is already working great for me. Great improvement. Thank you very much for all the work.

Scale, compass, altitude, speedo and especially the info at the bottom left is for me - compared to using Scenic on the IPhone - still to small. I find it a bit hard to read while on the bike.

Would it not be possible to make these information bits a little bigger. Driving directions are top.

That's also why you see these elements appear in every navigation app on CarPlay. The scale, compass, speedometer could be made bigger theoretically, but I'm reluctant to do that as, on the smaller CarPlay screens, these elements already take up a big part of the screen, covering the map and route line itself.

This depends on 2 things as well:
- The resolution of your CarPlay display
- Dynamic type font (It looks like you increased font size in your iOS Settings... this affects apps on your iPhone, but unfortunately not on CarPlay).

Priority is:

Navigation, Intercom, Music.

Reason: microphone might be ON all time cause off wind noise, and you set priority of intercom high you might not hear navigation instructions.

This all is quite complex, so you need to test alot.

In that way the Audio works exactly the same way as for all those people who use their Iphone without Carplay.

The alternative set up is, to send both audio and video to the Carpuride and let the Carpuride send the Audio out again over a separate bluetooth connection with your headset. This might be the intended set up, but I could not get that to work stable.

This was the stuff that is specific to Carpuride.

Myself I do not experience the problem you have and I cannot tell where it comes from.
But let me throw in some general and some reference information:

There is a common pitfall one should be aware of:
The iPhone has separate volume controls for different sound paths like ring tones, media or voice.
The volume buttons (on the iPhone or on the BT headset) always control the volume of the currently active path with "ring tones" being the default while no other path is active.
If case you had Scenic configured to play voice instructions in "Voice" mode (as opposed to "Media" mode) and the volume for the "Voice" path was set to "very low" then this might be one possible cause for your problem.
Did you try to increase the volume exactly while you were expecting to hear voice output and got only silence?

For your reference please find below my Audio related settings within Scenic.
As said before I cannot tell if any of these are related to your problem. But I can tell that for me the voice instruction work just fine.

Not sure which change I made caused it to start working but I am pleased that it’s now working.
One of the reasons I think Scenic is the best motorcycle GPS app is the support from Guido and the other users!

One comment to @middelfrangge reg restarts: My carpuride restarted whenever I started the engine. But this was due to the usb adapter. I've now connected it directly (with a selfmade hella din adapter) and now it stays on.

I wired a simple toggle switch in the the positive feed of the Carpuride, so I can have it on without the bike running (my bike’s USB and accessory feeds are only active with the engine running) but also switch it off when I leave the bike.
