CARPLAY FUNCTIONALITY
Quote from rmdoupe@gmail.com on 28.06.2023, 14:28I have a new headunit that has carplay. overall, I'm very pleased with how scenic works with the unit but I find we lose a lot of functionality compared to when I had my iphone mounted to the handlebars. (I'm meaning for making adjustments while pulled over, not while riding). The carplay connection locks out the iphone side of the functionality. Is there a way to operate both ways simultaneously while connected?
Thanks again for all your hard work!

It is possible to show more things on the iPhone screen / have more features available on iPhone, but that would be only to use during navigation.I am planning to make more things possible on the iPhone screen while navigating on CarPlay (e.g. Take picture button, and edit current route), but this will take time as there are still many things on the feature request list.
As a workaround you can simply disconnect from CarPlay temporarily while pulled over. The iPhone will take back control, and you have all features available again. Then, after you made the changes, connect to CarPlay again and CarPlay will take over again. Not super ideal, but also not too bad in my opinion.
