CarPlay / Android Auto Device, 6" for BMW Motorcycles

There‘s a new device on the market. The CARabc DB601, a 6“ Carplay / Android Auto device specific for BMW Navigator Mount

6“, 1000nits, 60fps, HD Display

BMW Navigator Mount with Wonderwheel Support and ODB interface

USB-C Port for Updates

Discout Code, 12%: Zipfi-12

I received my device today, it was shipped on Monday and delivered on Friday.
The device is high quality and really has a very clear and bright screen. Operation via the multicontroller works perfectly and it fits perfectly in the navigation holder. When the engine is started, the CARabc stays on and does not restart like the Carpuride. The operating system comes from CHIGEE and the same CPU is used. For me, the 6” device is the perfect size and fits perfectly in the cockpit.

Hi Zipfi,

Carabac and Chigee 6“ for BMW what is the difference in prices? Friend of mine is looking for a new device.

Thanks, Mex

Hi Mex,

at first the CARabc is available, the Chigee will be available around june.

the CARabc is only for BMW without any additional adapter, price with discount 424€ including shipping (no taxes).

the Chigee price, with the BMW adapter, will be around 540€ include shipping (no taxes).

the baseboard, chipset and operating system of the CARabc is from chigee ☺️, they actually also upgrading the unit with a lightingsensor. The new unit will be available soon, but if you order now the actual version, they will exchange to the new one for free. Also they working on a app, for smartphone connection to do OTA updates.

"The Chigee will be available in June"?  I've had mine since last year.  It mounts inside my K1600 dash where the Garmin was.  It has forward and rearview cameras with a rudimentary blind-spot detection system.  It records the last <however many minutes your SD card holds> as well as data.  There's also an integration box for the WonderWheel.

It worked immediately with my Apple iPhone and Carplay.  I'm having some troubles with my "Android" phone and AutoPlay.  (Because my phone is using GrapheneOS, it's not regular Android.)

Installation is hard only because the directions leave you to figure out some things.  The biggest challenge is not mounting, but the order of assembly to make the mount work inside the dash.  The fit is good enough, but needs a few mm's of shimming to get perfect.  Oh, you must have the dash-board opening for the slightly larger Garmin units, the V and VI, which is the 2019+ dash.  (The opening is slightly larger, and shifted to rider's right.)

Overall, it's pretty good.  My customizations to bike and phone have made problems for me, but that's always true.  It's how I (don't) roll.

yes, the 6“ chigee will be available this june. The 5“ is not interesting, too small
