For CarPlay you have to have to have Scenic version 3.09 or higher. You can see version number at the bottom of the Settings. If you don't have the latest version update through the App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/id1089668246
Furthermore there is still a bug in there, where, if you are not premium, it will start the navigation, but it won't really do anything. It doesn't give you the option to pay with a credit. So, if you are premium, there is no problem. However if you are still trying out and paying with credits, for the moment, best to start the navigation on your iPhone before connecting to CarPlay. Only after navigation started connect to CarPlay.
Sorry for the inconvenience,
Guido

Similar to this issue, when I access Scenic through CarPlay and click Start Navigation on a saved route, a screen pops up requesting I use credits to proceed. If I don’t accept this the app closes in CarPlay. This is different to the experience if I just use my iPhone where I can access a “follow the line” functionality without needing to be a subscriber.
Am I doing something wrong? I’m using version 3.14.
Many thanks,

Quote from Stevewoodmeuk on 24.09.2022, 01:16Hi Guido, I’m just about to install Carplay in my car on an aftermarket unit.
I love Scenic because of the offline route planning functions you’ve built; I’ve never seen anything else that provides for multiple way points and has such an easy to use route planning function as Scenic.
For the bike I plan my long trips in advance on my iPad with multiple rest stops for me in interesting places.
For the car I need to do the same but with rest stops for the dog !!!
I was concerned that Scenic may not yet support Carplay and I’d loose all it’s advantages.
So this is a huge Thank You! for being ahead of the game, well done ! and keep up the good work.
