Camera's precision / zoom level
Quote from Lo100469 on 30.03.2026, 02:48Hi Guido,
I'm very happy with the latest updates, system is now stable and additions like cameras and road works are very welcome.
Just 2 areas where i could see some improvement:
- very often Scenic is giving me a speed camera warning on another road that is sometimes 100 on my right or left, while i use navigation and the icon is spot on the road i'm using so GPS seems precise enough. Is there any way to change how cameras that show up are selected?
- zoom level: the number like 8 or 15 does not mean anything to me. Why not using simply 500m or 2km or 10km like what Scenic display?
Kind regards,
Laurent

1) If you download offline maps, the chance of warning for cameras in other roads dramatically decreases. More info here: https://scenic.app/help/safety-cameras/
2) You can display zoom level there too now. Settings > Maps Settings. Using the scale distance doesn’t really work because the scale bar itself becomes longer/shorter before the distance label jumps. So, saying 200m would be a range of zoom levels.
Hope that helps/explains.
best regards,
Guido

Ok on zoom levels, understood.
Regarding camera locations i always use offline maps in case i lose 4G. Happens quite often that i cross a road or see a road alongside the highway and get a 80 warning or 30 warning...
Kind regards,
Laurent
