Bridge is NOT Out
Quote from Elric42 on 17.06.2025, 11:10I am planning a route that requires me to cross the bridge on Bestpitch Ferry Rd in Bucktown, MD. Scenic incorrectly shows that this bridge is blocked, which is not accurate. I've already reported the issue in Open Maps.
Since it will take a bit of time for the map to be revised, what is my best work around for this until that happens?

Quote from Guido on 17.06.2025, 12:01My recommendation is to place a stop before and after the bridge. The stop before, give it a name like “ignore instructions, keep going”. Once you are in the other side of the bridge the navigation recalculate.
The route will indicate to be much longer so you do have to account for that regarding duration and distance.

Quote from Guido on 17.06.2025, 12:03Alternatively you could create two routes. One until the bridge and one after. Curating navigation, you can switch to the other route:
- move map to go to edit mode
- Edit route button
- search button > search for 2nd route
- select route and continue.

Thanks Guido. I made two separate routes, one that ends at the bridge and another that starts across it. I may also try the "keep driving" version as well.
The method that I've quoted here, this is for when you are actively navigating the route, right?
I really appreciate your support.
And I have to say that many of the issues we've had with Scenic have either disappeared or occur far less often starting with v4.18. The most common one is that I will build a route and share it. Some people, around 25%, have the navigation go crazy, while others it works just fine.
Based on your earlier advice, I am providing everyone the advice you gave about setting the route recalculation parameters. I think that will reduce this even more.
Thanks again for a great app!
