Blank screen after phone call interrupts

I suspect that the phone app takes over and the phone app allows the screen to be auto-locked. Scenic is blocking auto-lock, but when you accept a phone call, the phone app takes over and only apps that are active in the foreground can prevent the screen from auto-locking.
What you could do to prevent this is go to iOS Settings > Phone > Incomings calls -> Set to Banner. Then Scenic will stay active in the foreground during your call and the screen shouldn't be able to auto-lock.

A possible workaround could be to create a Siri Shortcut to bring Scenic to the foreground again. Have not tried that myself, but I'm sure there is a way to do this.
