Background app refresh - Required?

"Background app refresh" is not required.
You could set the "Use cellular data" (in iOS Settings > Scenic) to OFF if you don't want Scenic to use cellular data. Make sure you have the offline maps installed though. And...with cellular data off, and not on WiFi, below features are not available:
- Curvy route generation (already saved (curvy) routes are fine though)
- Online HERE search
- Google Search
- Apple Search
