All Via- and shapingpoints skipped

Made a few daytrips last week from a hotel and planned the routes starting and ending at the hotel. Not planned them as a round trip but as a "normal" route with shaping points and VIA-points.
When starting the routes, after a few meters, Scenic skipped all points and showed the endpoint as the next point. I needed to restart the routing a few kilometers away to avoid this happening. This needed to be done far away from the endpoint to overcome this problem (but then to check on the next via/shaping point). Was a littel bit confusing and annoying.
What have I done wrong? Or what setting to be made to avoid this?

Typically this shouldn't happen of course. It could happen if the route has an overlapping or parallel stretches in it (using same road on your way out and way back from the hotel), and if you have automatic recalculation turned off. But even then, Scenic has some checks in place that should avoid this in most scenarios. I would have to see one of the routes where this happened to be sure. If you want, send me a link to one of your routes and I'll have a more detailed look. Also, send me a screenshot of your detour behaviour settings.

Thanks Guido for caring about the topic.

Indeed the hotel was outside and the road from start and to end were overlapping.

My route planning is with kurviger.de and then direct link to Scenic.
