Additional Handlebar Controller function

I'd like to be able to use my handlebar controller (WunderLINQ) to quickly set a Waypoint with a single press of the multi-controller or a button press for those that do not use WunderLINQ. This waypoint would be stored in "Favorites" and there would be no need for a popup window to save/name the Waypoint as it would be saved with a Date/Time stamp automatically. I've been using the Quick Pic for this but I then have to convert it to a Waypoint that I can store and share outside of Scenic.

Hi Dan,

Yes... i understand what you mean. The feature to quickly mark a spot (as a location or add it to a specific POI group) does not exist yet. I'll first have to build that before I can link it to the handlebar controller. It's on the list, but currently higher priority items, so will take a little while.

It's high on the list though... many people have asked for this feature over time.

Cheers,
Guido

If you're enjoying Scenic and are happy with the support, please leave a nice rating in the App Store. It would mean a lot to me ❤️

Mabey while you are at it, can you check if you can put the Blinker (Turn Signal) button onto the list.

I also have the WunderLINQ and at the moment, when long pressed, it mutes the volume, here i'd like to actually have Play/Pause as an option. as the music in mute does not stop!

Thanks for your time and energy on Scenic, it's still the best!

Hi Melbara,

you can already select play/pause as a short action to one of the WunderLINQ actions. See screenshot. (Settings > Handlebar controller)

Best regards,

Guido

Not wanting to be clever here, but I know that I can change one of the WonderLINQ actions.

The  problem is that all other actions I need as they already are implemented, and so I have no actions left to be able to use, apart from the Turn Signal Long Press.

This is the only action that is not shown anywhere and cannot be changed.

I hope what I write is more understandable.

p.s.  I tink it is absolutly amazing how fast you answer questions! Do you ever have a rest or go to bed and sleep at all....;-)

Maybe I’m misunderstanding, or maybe I’m not up to date with the latest WunderLINQ possibilities. Can you now also use your turn signal buttons to control the wunderLINQ? (It used to be only the “multicontroller“).

Although the WunderLINQ box reads the LIN & CANbus, currently using the Turn Signal-Cancel switch on the left switch cluster is not sent to the WunderLINQ APP - for use as an "In-App" function.

OK. In that case, I can't link any action to that button in Scenic either. You would have to talk to the WunderLING guys... ask them if it's possible to link a "keypress" to that button too. I'm not sure but this would probably be a hardware change, or at least a WunderLINQ firmware upgrade. Once they've done that, and Scenic receives a "keypress" for that button, I can link actions to it.
