Adding Via/Stop
Quote from Toku75 on 13.06.2020, 18:41Hi,
after I imported and edited some routes I think the following feature will speed up this doing.
After an import, that is really working fine, I always have to add further vias and stops to match the calculated route to the originally imported one. The blue line is very helpful here. Actually the map zooms out loosing the focus to the point I want to add the next via or stop and sometimes it is difficult to find out, which the previous via or stop is. The longer the route, the harder it is to keep track of where I‘ve just been on the route. It would help very much, if the focus stays on that point the via or stop button has been pressed. Further it would be very nice, if Scenic would be able to suggest the previous via or stop and I only have to accept this or choose to select by myself. I think it will not always be easy to find out the predecessor on the existing route, but maybe you’ll find a solution for that.
Many thanks in advance to keep the motivation to make this already very nice app even better.
Best regards,
Tobias

This is typically a case of 'every advantage has its disadvantage'. At first the map did not zoom out when asking you to select the 'previous' marker, but then I got feedback that it's a lot of work to always have to zoom out the map manually before seeing other markers on the map. So... now it's zooming out until at least a few markers are visible on the map.
I will revisit this for the next big Scenic update including doing a suggestion for via points.
Cheers,
Guido

it loks like you misunderstood me a little bit. Zooming out is ok. The problem is that I don't have a chance to find the location where I added the new via or stop anymore. A marker for that location or just keeping the focus on that point would help.
