Hi Guido, I got a small window to get out today and attempted, via CarPlay with 4.13, to track my route.  I was specifically trying to evaluate the zoom bugs you mentioned where fixed.  Now perhaps it is just me, but I cannot see a difference in behavior (at least when doing a track ride).  With Turn Zoom or Speed based zoom it always goes to 500ft, no matter my speed (slow or quick).  Manual continues to be the only method (when tracking) that allows me to get a comfortable height on the map.

Thoughts?

@highpeakrider... I thought they were buildings showing, but buildings are disabled in hybrid mode, and in satellite mode no map elements should show at all. If you could make a picture next time that would be helpful indeed.

CarPlay has nothing to do with this. It still works the same with CarPlay (only you can’t manually pause on CarPlay).

An inaccurate GPS signal (like when you are inside) can cause auto-pause not to engage, as the ‘jumping’ GPS signal can be interpreted as movement.

A roundabout near me has 5 exits.  I wonder how they handle that, or how the rider/driver does if unfamiliar with it and going by the navigator's instructions.

A good example - I can imagine coming upon it and trying, on the fly, to figure out how many exits there really are, and which ones "count" and which ones don't...

For complicated roundabouts like this one I would definitely also check the route line on the map itself. (If you are not navigating by sound only of course).

When on Carplay I can click the screen and see nothing. But if I turn off the Carplay and touch the screen I get the option to enter the destination on the left. Then turn the carplay back on and find my way home 😉

Am I messing up or is the functionality different on the Carplay.
