3d Map angle while following a route

When following a route or just navigating to a single location, the 3D angle has very little adjustment, barely noticeable. But if you select start ride to just follow you, it will adjust from 5 to 90 without issue. I am using the latest version. Tried deleting and reinstalling the app without luck.
