The forum is a separate system. You’ll need to create a seperate account as you figured out. Reason: the forum is a web component from a 3rd party. Would be too much development work and not Scenic core business to develop an own forum.

So, you have the forum, the app on your iOS devices and the WebApp. The app on your iOS devices and the WebApp use the same email/password combination. And as stated above forum uses a seperate one.
The password for the iOS app and WebApp can only be changed in the iOS app (tap profile pic in the side menu, open account section)
