Start a route in the middle
It’s possible that a route start point is not close to your current location. Scenic offers 2 choices for this scenario. The choice you make depends on if (1) you want to follow the complete route from the start point, or (2) skip a part of the route.
An example of a situation where you might want to skip a part of the route is when you receive a route from someone else and the route passes close to your house. You don’t want to go all the way to the route start only to follow the route towards your house again. Another example could be if you accidentally stopped a navigation. You still want to follow the route, but you don’t want to follow the part that you already did.
On your iPhone, you can toggle between guiding to start or not with this button.

When you start a route on CarPlay, you get a question if you want to be guided to the route start.

If you choose to be guided to the route start, navigation will begin immediately, and Scenic will give you navigation instructions to get from your current location to the route start.
If you choose not to be guided to the route start, navigation will not start immediately. Scenic will tell you “Go to route”. Once you reach the route, navigation instructions will start, guiding you along the remainder of the route. Scenic will assume that you do not want to go to all the waypoints (including the route start point) “behind” the point where you joined the route.
